Mary Lou Louks

Mary Ruth Louks, a 50-year-old graduate of Kathy’s House, shares her journey from a painful childhood marked by abuse and early struggles with addiction, through years of hardship, including an abusive marriage and the loss of her children. Despite knowing about God from her upbringing as a pastor’s daughter, she drifted far from faith while battling addiction. In 2021, after enduring life-altering trauma, she sought help at Set Free and then joined Kathy’s House, where she found healing, rediscovered her faith, and rebuilt her life with the support of a caring community. Today, Mary Ruth works, lives independently, and shares hope with others, encouraging anyone struggling to reach out and find hope and transformation in Jesus.
